A payroll card, such as the Brink’s Money Prepaid MasterCard®, is a reloadable prepaid debit card, issued to an employee through a national or regional bank, credit union, or savings and loan association and distributed through his or her employer for the receipt of wages and other compensation. Payroll cards are also referred to as "paycards" and "payroll debit cards". A payroll card is a debit card, which is "reloaded" every pay day or at other times through an ACH direct deposit transaction. It is not a credit card. It works like a debit card. It does not require a credit check for enrollment, which means that ALL employees may use one*.

Not all employees have — or want — a traditional bank account. But paper paychecks can be costly, time consuming, and inconvenient to cash. The Brink’s Money Program provides employees with a safe option to manage their money without hidden fees.
Even if employees already have a bank account and are being paid via direct deposit, they can still enroll in the program and allocate a portion of their pay to their Brink’s Money Card Account. This is a great way for employees to save for holiday spending or even allocate a monthly allowance to a college student.
